This is what I would recommend for your brand if I was your business coach!
Welcome to another Anna Clarice hot tip feature! Today I am going to dive into the world of social media and talk to all of the badass social media managers out there! In the day and age of online marketing social media has become an imperative tool for most companies but many don’t have the time to give the time and attention it deserves. This is why they hire professionals to post, engage, and ultimately grow the account for them.
This is not a small job and it’s a rapidly growing profession, so if marketing and social media are both something you take an interest in, then listen up, this post is for you!
Being a social media manager is not unlike being a freelance copywriter or graphic designer. You’re an independent contractor and you have the freedom to work with multiple different brands and companies. However, that doesn’t mean that you can just fly under the radar -- your clients need to know that you’re out there!
Here are my hot branding tips for social media managers, and what I would recommend you do if I was your online business coach.
🔥Specialize
When you’re first getting started and looking for clients, I recommend that you pick a social media niche to specialize in.
Are you going to be the Pinterest Professional? The TikTok Trend Setter? The Influential Instagrammer?
Of course, that doesn’t mean that you can’t do other things, but it allows your potential clients to quickly see and identify something you have that they want.
🔥🔥🔥Extra Hot Tip: You can even align your branding with the colors of the app of your choosing. This will reinforce that credibility visually as well and the client will automatically associate you as a professional in that platform.
🔥Create Packages
Most companies and business owners don’t know what they need when it comes to social media management. It’s not their wheelhouse, which is why YOU need to tell them.
Create management packages that include all of the services you need to perform in order to do your job well and achieve the results you want. Set your prices firmly and with intention. This way you won’t be so at the mercy of what clients are willing to pay you, and you can present yourself as the professional that they need.
Creating packages also allow you to brand your services and makes marketing them much easier.
🔥Educate Your Audience
Funny enough, most social media managers don’t like managing their own accounts. However, you want to remember that this is your space to let your style, uniqueness, and personality shine through.
Why should people hire you over someone else? What makes you the expert?
Take a look at @Miss.Excel she took to TikTok in 2020 and taught people how to use the program Excel. She’s now a 7-figure earner and content creator. My point is that your social media management gig could expand into different revenue streams and all you have to do is talk about what you know on social media!
For my social media managers, I hope these hot tips were helpful to you. I’d love to know your comments.
